2016 Polls: Akufo-Addo To File Today

The NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo will file his nomination for the 2016 elections today, party sources have hinted.

The former attorney will however not declare his asset in the nomination form as demanded by the EC, the NPP’s acting general secretary John Boadu has noted.

According to him, the order by the EC must only be directed at public office holders and not everybody, as they are seeking to do.

This is the third time Nana Addo is making an attempt at the presidency having been defeated by President John Mahama of the NDC in 2012 and losing to the late John Atta Mills in 2008.

Mr. Mahama will also file today after returning from his trip to the UN Assembly and France.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission will rake in about One Million Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Cedis should all twenty presidential aspirants who picked nomination forms successfully file by today.
