GCPP Goes To Court Over EC disqualification

The disqualified presidential nominee of the GCPP Dr. Henry Lartey has filed a suit at the court asking that all processes leading to the 2016 polls be put on hold.

In the suit, the party said the EC abused its authority in the decision to disqualify their candidate for the December polls.

Dr. Lartey and 11 others were disqualified by the EC over anomalies detected in the presidential nomination forms.

His lawyer Maurice Ampaw at a press conference last week threatened to frustrate the electoral process if his candidate is not put back on the ballot paper.
