The Vice president of the Ghana Beach Soccer Association, Fred Afful has expressed optimism about the commencement of the second round of the national beach soccer league.
The first round of the league ended amidst several disciplinary issues.
A special disciplinary advisory panel was formed in December last year to tackle protests and other issues related to the league. Members of the advisory panel includes Chairman Evans Amenume, Sowah Ghartey and beach soccer referee, Paul Aggrey and.
Fred Afful was hopeful that all outstanding issues will be cleared this week by the Beach Soccer League Board to pave way for the resumption of the second round of the beach soccer league.
In related development, the association has confirmed that it is in talks with a potential new sponsor. The beach soccer league is currently sponsored by CAL BANK in a GHc 44,000 deal.
