An Ethnomusicologist and Lecturer at the Department of Music, University of Cape Coast, Senyo Adzei, has called on music experts in Ghana, to come on board, to re-package Ghanaian music to meet International Standards.
He said, the way some musicians in this country package their music, make it impossible for non Ghanaians to appreciate it.
According to him, countries like Nigeria and South Africa are doing pretty well, on the Continent, when it comes to songs that could resonate with people across the world, irrespective of language used to compose it.
Mr. Adzei said, experts like him, who are teaching at the Universities, have abandoned the profession, for people who perhaps, do not have any formal training. He however, said, there is hope for Ghana, if experts and musicians come to that realization.
