The farm which is located at Kwafre near Nkoranza in the Brong Ahafo region is alleged to have been set ablaze by Fulani herdsmen.

According to Nana Baffoe Agyei who is the Onyinasehene, he picked information from the care taker of the cocoa farm that the Fulani herdsmen had set fire into a nearby forest which spread the cocoa farm, adding that before they could get to the scene to salvage the situation, the entire farm had been torched

Nana Baffoe said, the Fulanis attacked the care taker threatening to kill him following which he fled from the place to the next town and later lodged complaint at the police station.

The Police have subsequently arrested 8 Fulani herdsmen suspected to have committed the act.

Nana Agyei revealed that about 10,000 cows and Fulani herdsmen have flooded the area, a situation he said has put fear into the inhabitants and preventing them from going to their farms.

He pleaded with the police and other officials concerned to help flush out the Fulanis from the area to enable them undertake their farming activities peacefully and devoid of fear.
