Bawumia’s Lecture On Economy Moved To National Theatre

The Public Lecture on the national economy to be addressed by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Thursday, September 8, has been moved to the National Theatre in Accra.

It was originally scheduled for the Accra International Conference Centre for the same Thursday, however a statement from the office of the New Patriotic Party running mate says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, managers of the Conference Centre, have now denied organizers of the programme the use of the facility.

The lecture is on the theme, “The State of the Ghanaian Economy – A Foundation of Concrete or Straw”, and will be chaired by former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

The statement signed by Kwabena Boadu, Press Secretary to Dr. Bawumia, assured the public that despite the setback, “everything is set for the Lecture at the National Theatre today.”
