The Black Stars of Ghana will this evening face the Golden Eagles of Russia at the Petrovsky Stadium in a FIFA international friendly.
This game is part of preparations for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda which starts next month.
A 23-man contingent left Ghana on Saturday night after drawing 1-1 with Amavubi of Rwanda at the Accra Sports Stadium in an AFCON qualifier.
In the absence of skipper Asamoah Gyan and Deputy Andre Ayew in the squad, midfielder Agyemang Badu who will captain on the night is confident Ghana is ready for the clash.
“We know Russia is hosting the World Cup in 2018 and we know they will want to play for the fans and their new coach. They will come all out for a win and we are prepared for that,” Badu told pressmen in Russia.
“We’ve heard a lot about the Russia national team. Two of our colleagues are now playing in Russia; Jonathan and Rabiu. Wakaso also played here and they have told us a lot about the Russians and we are ready for them,” he added.
The game will be played at 16:00 GMT.
