A blind man, Mobila Yanam, believed to be in his late 40s, has hanged himself to death, at Ahenboboano near the Manhyia Palace in The Ashanti Region, leaving a behind wife and two children.
According to sources, the blind man had earlier attempted taking his life as residents of Ahenboboano also revealed that, he had been admitted on several occasions at the hospital.
Confirming the incident to XYZ News, our Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Owaohene Addai Mununkum, says, the deceased wife, Baga Yaa Yanam, disclosed that, her late husband has attempted a suicide barely two months ago by drinking a poison but was stopped by neighbors.
Owaohene Addai Mununkum however says, as to what really necessitated that move for a virtually impaired person to hung himself is still unknown.
According to him, the Police are investigating the matter to unravel what might have caused his death, as some people are questioning how the said blind man could have succeeded in hanging himself. Meanwhile the police have retrieved the body and deposited it at the morgue.
