Security has been intensified at Kpando Senior High School (KPANSEC) following an alleged attack by some students of Kpando Technical Institute.
Kpando. Reports say some Kpantech students jumped walls and entered the campus of Kpansec, wielding cutlasses and machetes among others.
The students of the Kpando Technical Institute attacked and vandalized some school properties of Kpando Senior High School.
Properties damaged included a School Van, the Boys’ Dormitory, a section of the fence wall and the school’s sign board in a raid over the weekend. The Kpando Technical Institute, is situated directly opposite the Kpando Senior High School.
The two are separated by the major Kpando – Accra highway. There is a known rivalry that has existed, between the two schools, over the years. Clashes were renewed on Saturday in the evening, after some old students of Kpansec engaged in a fight with students from Kpantech.
The Kpantech students recognized some of the boys from the other school and decided to take a revenge on them. Currently, five students from the Kpando Technical Institute are on admission at the Margarette Marquart hospital with various degrees of injury suffered in the confusion.
Kpando Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent, Thomas Loh, disclosed this to XYZ News.
