A Security Analyst at the Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Training Center, Dr. Kwesi Aning has rubbished a call for the United States to intervene in Ghana’s elections in order to forestall violence.
According to him, there is nothing the US can do that Ghana cannot do. He said this in an interview on Radio XYZ Breakfast Show with Kweku Vander-Pallen.
He further added that, Ghanaians cannot look down on themselves and expect others to guarantee their security.
Dr. Kwesi Aning’s assertion contradicts Peace Ambassador Irbard Ibrahim’s call for the United States’ intervention, in the November Polls, to avoid any form of election violence.
He bemoaned the current state of security in the country, lamenting on how the Security Agencies are not well resourced, in the face of increasing threat in the Sub-Region.
