Election 2016: NPP Postpones Manifesto Launch

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has changed the date and venue to launch its manifesto, source of radioxyzonline has gathered Wednesday.

According to sources close to the party’s presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, the much anticipated launch will take place on 9 October 2016 instead of the earlier stated date of October 8.

The reason for the sudden change is due to the upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifying match involving the national team — the Black Stars in Tamale on October 7, the source told radioxyzonline.com.

An official statement will be issued to that effect by the party, the source added.
