The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has rejected the challenge from President John Mahama for Nana Addo to debate him one-on-one.
The president once again in an interview with Volta Star FM in Ho, dared Nana Akufo-Addo to debate him on national issues ahead of the presidential elections.
But the NPP says its presidential candidate would not accept the president’s challenge. Communications director of the NPP, Nana Akomea said the party has moved past the debate.
“When IEA offered their platform for us to debate the NDC and Mahama rejected it, so one month to elections what does the President think that now he wants a debate all of a sudden, we have moved past the debate because he withdrew from the debate… what is he going to tell us at the debate that he can’t tell us anywhere,” Akomea said.
