A 37-year-old corn miller is standing trial for allegedly impregnating his 17-year-old daughter and coercing her to abort it.
The accused, Wisdom Kloku, is said to have repeatedly raped his daughter resulting in three pregnancies.
Kloku, a resident of Kwapia near Akorkerri in the Ashanti Region, was arrested on Monday after his daughter confided in a woman about her ordeal and further reported to the police.
He was arraigned before an Obuasi Circuit Court Wednesday and was remanded into prison custody although he pleaded not guilty to the charges of rape and incest.
According to a Daily Guide newspaper report, the act began in the latter part of 2015 after the girl, a senior high school student relocated to Kwapia to be with her father.
According to the report, the accused threatened the victim with non-payment of her school fees anytime she refused his sexual advances.
