Fifa ranking: Ghana 37th

The Black Stars of Ghana moved up one place on the latest FIFA ranking to sit at the 37th position, but remained third place in Africa.

Forty-five international friendlies were included in calculating the latest ranking, along with four 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification matches for the OFC region.

The Black Stars have been inactive for a while. But the team is preparing to play Mauritius on Sunday 5 June in a 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier.

Algeria moved up to the 32nd position but remain number one in Africa.

Ivory Coast slipped to 36th position in the world but maintained their second place spot in Africa.

Argentina and Belgium held onto first and second spots, respectively, with Columbia beating Germany to occupy the third position.
