ANN: Two Restaurants Mr. Biggs and Odor Rice are likely to be closed down following their inability to adhere to Fire Safety Regulations.
Last Friday the Ghana National Fire Service embarked on a Fire Safety Tour to some Commercial Operating Facilities in some parts of Accra. According to The Service, the purpose of the Tour is to create awareness of Fire Safety at work places.
However, speaking in an interview, The Assistant Chief Fire Officer Ebenezer Simpson said the two Restaurants have developed non-functioning early warning sign systems.
They also have faulty electrical wiring. These two areas, in which they fall foul to the Fire Safety Regulations, make them risk the shutdown, should they fail to meet the deadline.
