Four people sustained injuries Thursday night after a Toyota Land Cruiser traveling in President Mahama’s convoy during his tour of the Eastern region was involved in accident.
The four were treated by the President’s medical team and have all returned to Accra safely, according to the Minister of Communications, Edward Omane Boamah who confirmed the story to Adom FM Friday.
“It’s true that one of the vehicles which was part the President’s convoy was involved in accident…,” Dr. Omane Boamah said adding “the medical team treated the occupants and they are well…we arrived with them in Accra this morning.”
The accident reportedly occurred at an area between Etsi Amanfrom and Abodekpe en route to the Afram Plains.
President Mahama continued his tour after the incident and went ahead to commission a pantoon at Kpando Tokor.
