‘Gay’ teacher, 31, Arrested In Atebubu

Police in Atebubu in the Brong Ahafo region have arrested a 31-year-old teacher for allegedly luring some male students into homosexuality.

The suspect Joshua Baye Gingin is in the grips of the Atebubu-Amantin Police after he attempted to have sex with a 19-year-old SHS Student.

Police say the teacher has been luring the student to be his friend through social media.

Atebubu-Amantin Police Commander Chief Superintendent Joseph Atsu Dzinaku said the teacher admitted that he had been sleeping with other males since 2003.

“We received the information from a 19-year-old SHS student that someone has been pestering him on Facebook to be his friend. So due to tracking and collaboration, the teacher invited the student to his house to sleep with him.

“After we trailed the guy and had him arrested in his house with the student. We interrogated him and he admitted that he had been in such business for some time now. He started this game since 2003 and he wanted to have the student involved.”

The teacher has since been remanded into Police custody by the Atebubu Amantin court.
