The National Amputee Football Team of Ghana, the Black Challenge will engage their Sierra Leone counterparts in a special Peace mini tournament from October 28-30.

According to the Chairman of the Amputee Football Association, Richard Nii Amartey Adesah, this tournament will be used to promote peace in the country ahead of the 2016 general elections in December.

The tournament will be played in a round robin format in order to determine the champion on the final day, but will also see other identifiable groups such as the Actors Guild, the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) and the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) all playing.

Meanwhile, organizers are appealing to the general public, especially corporate bodies to come to their aid in order to project peace ahead of the general elections on December 7.
