The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Art, Dzifa Gomashie, has called on young talented people in the Art and Culture Industry to form groups, to enable them access funds at The Ministry, to start their personal careers.
According to her, Government has made some monies available, for both industry players and upcoming ones, but they have join the Ghana Culture Forum, in order to get the needed support.
The Deputy Minister, revealed this at a Poetry Production titled “Ete, Woman of Africa” written by Professor Lade Wosornu and Directed by Oswald Okaitei, at the W.E. B. Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture and value for life, in commemorating the 2016 International Mother’s Day Celebration.
She, however, advised the Ghanaian film makers and producers, especially, the local ones, to take advantage of the short courses, at the National Film And Television Institution, to build their capacity in the industry.
A Choreographer and Spoken Word Artist, who produced and Directed The Show, Oswald Okaitei, explained why he turned poetry into a play in honour of Ghanaian women.
