The Overlord of the Kpembe Traditional Area in the Northern Region, Kpembewura Bismark Haruna, has predicted more than 53 per cent victory in this year’s election for the New Patriotic Party’s Presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Kpembewura Haruna gave the prediction when Nana Addo paid a courtesy call on him and his elders at his palace in Kpembe in the East Gonja District in the Northern Region.
Nana Addo and his running mate, Alhaji Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, as well as other stalwarts in the party are in the Northern Region for a four-day tour.
Kpembewura Haruna also pledged his loyality to the ideals of the party, assuring the NPP leader to call on him anytime he found it necessary.
“Once a soldier, always a soldier,” he said, adding, “You know something, you can take the dog out of the fight but you can’t take the fight out of the dog “.
According to Kpembewura Haruna, God would listen to the cry of Nana Addo in this year’s election.
“I don’t need to talk too much, God will do it for you as he did for me,” he indicated.
Kpembewura Haruna served as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the West Gonja District between 2001 and 2005 under former President John Agyekum Kuffour’s administration.
“I welcome you to the Kpembi Traditional Area; all the people of the Kpembi Traditional Area will welcome you,” he stated.
Kpembewura Haruna, however, admonished Nana Addo to sell his message to all Ghanaians, telling them what he could do when voted for as president of the country.
He also implored all Ghanaians to take part in this year’s elections and vote massively for Nana Addo to enable him to become the President of the country.
“And I predict 53 point something per cent for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo,” he predicted.
Nana Addo, for his part, expressed his gratitude to the Kpembewura for his resounding victory prediction.
He also thanked Kpembewura and the people of the Kpembe Traditioal Area for their warm reception and pledged that he would work hard to deliver all the promises he had made to the country.
Earlier, the Paramount Chief of Saboba Traditional Area, Cheek Binalibeni Kabonja, had denied claims that he had declared his support for President John Dramani Mahama, when Nana Addo paid a courtesy call on him in his palace.
He urged Nana Addo to disregard such a publication because it was not true.
According to him, he had not declared support for any presidential candidate.
