The Deputy Chief of Staff says a plan to tackle accusations of inflated figures for development projects and other perceived corruption in Government will soon be set in motion.
Johnny Osei Kofi says government has begun compiling responses to set the records straight on corruption issues raised by the opposition New Patriotic Party in 2015.
“What we have not done is to take centre stage and let the people know the huge, huge positives that we have. But the little things that the opposition would pick, they want to blow it up. Even those that are untrue,” the Deputy Chief of Staff said.
He was speaking to Luv News during a cleanup exercise at Ayigya in Kumasi.
“We are cataloguing all these things and very soon would come up then show where the lies are,” he said.
Johnny Osei Kofi said although NPP presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, falsely accused government of inflating cost for the Kasoa Interchange project the opposition leader has not come to apologise even though facts that emerged later prove he was wrong.
