GPL: Preview To Match Day 18

On Saturday, Inter Allies will welcome Kumasi Asante Kotoko to the Tema Park. The porcupine warriors are second on the table, just a point behind league leaders WA All Stars, and will go into this game confident after their triumph in the President’s Cup. Inter Allies, who are 13th on the table with 18 points, will look to revenge as the first leg of the fixture ended in favour of Kotoko.

WA All Stars will look to maintain the top spot as they play host to Ashanti Gold on Sunday at the WA Park. The Upper West side lost their last game to Kotoko and will hope to get back to winning ways as they are just a point above Kotoko and Hearts, respectively. Ashanti Gold managed to move out of the relegation zone when they beat Techiman City, and sit in 12th position with 19 points.

Accra Hearts of Oak will play Dormaa-based side Aduana Stars at the Accra sports stadium. The Phobians are 3rd on the table, same points as their rivals Kotoko, and will hope they can make amends for their loss in the President’s Cup. Aduana will be full of confidence going into this game with their striker Yahaya Mohammed in top shape. Aduana are 4th with just a point behind their opponent.

Bechem United will host Berekum Chelsea in a Bono Ahafo derby. Bechem United are in the drop on 14th with 18 points and will look to leapfrog in points above Inter Allies, who sit in front of them. Berekum Chelsea, meanwhile, is 9th with 23 points after beating Inter Allies in their last game.

Other games coming up are Techiman City against WAFA, bottom place Edubiase will play host to Liberty professionals and Meadeama will play Dreams FC in Tarkwa.
