Hundreds of graduate students are expected to demonstrate today in Accra over the delays in the payment of their bursaries and thesis grants.
Last week, they suspended a plan to picket at the Flagstaff House with the expectation of engaging government officials over their concerns.
But they are returning to the streets today because their engagement with government officials have been unsuccessful.
GRASAG President, Rashid Kwasi Etuaful, said their concerns have been disregarded for far too long.
“All we want is specific timelines, government must commit itself to date. They told us October they will pay us as soon as possible and we are almost in another October and we have still not been paid. Tell us you will pay us this day and that day; as soon as possible is as vague as telling an ant it will go to heaven,” worried Kwasi Etuaful said.
He said their demonstration will start from the Obra Spot and end at the Finance Ministry, where a petition will be presented to government.
