Help us regain our motherland- Palestine’s Ambassador to Ghana

The Ambassador of The State of Palestine to The Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Abdalfatah A. K. Alsattari has called on the International Community to support Palestinians to regain their country from the enemies of peace and progress.

According to him, the people Palestine have suffered far too long in hands of people who are currently occupying portions of their lands without recourse to human rights and dignity.

Mr. Alsattari, made this known, on the occasion of the NAKBA Day commemoration in Ghana.

The Nakba [catastrophe] of Palestine constitutes a black terminal for the Palestine people in modern history, regarding their expulsion from their homeland, and stripped of their properties, thereby displacing them.

They have to live in some parts of the world which made them encounter all varieties of hardship and scourges.

After the end of the Nakba in 1948, and the Announcement of the Establishment of the Israel, on 15th May 1948, whose impact placed most Palestinian Regions under Israeli Authority with the exception of some regions which remain held, under the Palestinian Identity and termed as West Bank, Gaza Strip and Eastern Jerusalem being Regions of Holy Places.

Just like these wars caused the expulsion of thousands of Palestinians, to live as refugees in the neighbouring Arab Countries so were the social effects of these wars combating against the entire Palestinian society by tearing and dismembering them.

According to the Ambassador, it is time for Palestinians to be treated like others in the world.

Managing Editor of The Insight Newspaper, and a member of Palestine Solidarity Campaign, in Ghana, Kwesi Pratt Junior, said, illegal occupants of the Palestine territory shall be defeated like how apartheid and colonialism were defeated by Africans.

According to Mr. Pratt, victory is coming to Palestinians in shortest possible time. “The people of Palestine are hopeful to see their motherland in no time after 68 years calamity and displacement”.
