‘I Don’t Have A Dual Citizenship’-Bantama NPP MP Bemoans

The New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Bantama constituency,Daniel Okyem Aboagye has vehemently denied claims that he holds a dual citizenship  at a press conference held Tuesday at the Bantama Constituency Office in Kumasi.

Mr Okyem Aboagye responded to a plethora of allegations leveled against him and his candidature as the NPP Parliamentary candidate.

Among them included him having a dual citizenship nationality and his frosty relationship with the incumbent MP Henry Kwabena Kokofu.

He called on his constituents to ignore the falsehood that is being perpetrated by his detractors and vote  massively for him to retain the seat for the NPP in the Bantama constituency.

I have not been a citizen of any country not America..even though I love the US..the US is the greatest nation on earth. It is true I have been there but trust me I didn’t sell my birth right to the US because for some of us the mission is bigger than self

Mr Okyem Aboagye says his Parliamentary dream was born in 1994 when he was introduced to former President Kufour by one Chairman Jokass.

The NPP Parliamentary candidate stressed that his party have learned their lessons with the bitter story of the former Member of Parliament for Bawku Central,Adamu Dramani Sakande who was incarcerated for perjury and the use of a dual citizenship to enter Ghana’s Parliament and will not repeat it.
