Irate UCC Students Lock Up Ola College Principal

Irate sandwich students of the University of Cape Coast stationed at the Ola College of Education in Cape Coast in the Central region reportedly locked up their supervising principal Tuesday night.

Reverend Sister Elizabeth Arhin, Principal of the Ola College and supervisor of the sandwich program, according to Starr News’ Baah Acheamfuor, run to her office around 8pm, when she saw the angry students approaching her in protest. The students responded to her action by locking the office from the entry, making it impossible for her to come out.

The students are protesting what they say is the poor services rendered them by the school and its management.

“They treat us like slaves. For the past three days, we have been eating the same kind of food. When you need water to bath, you don’t get it. The bathrooms are always dirty, the toilet is worst. Now even if you go to town, you are not allowed to return after 10pm.

“…And after all these, we paid GHC1,500 each for this kind of horrible treatment, we need our monies back,” some of the angry students told Starr News.
