Authorities at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), have denied media reports suggesting that a leaked sex tape was publicly screened on its campus by some students of the school.
The widely circulated two-minute video only showed the lady’s face, but not her male sex partner.
Reports say the video was screened on a projector by some of the students, who say they wanted the identity of the male involved revealed.
But the Deputy Registrar of the University Relations Office, Vincent Ankamah Lomotey, told Citi News investigations had revealed that “there was no public viewing of that video.”
Persons involved might not be students
He further indicated that, authorities through their investigations have established that persons involved in the leaked sex tape might not be students of the school.
“We are now trying to gather the facts so give us some time to investigate to find out whether the lady lives in the hall. So far, we have found out that the people involved are not students of the school but we are still investigating as I indicated and this is what we have now. “
“Some names have come up but we entered the database, and realized they were not in the school. There were two matches to other names that came up but these are older people who have left the University. Those who carried out the act may not be students of the school.”
