President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday brought some beneficiaries of his “Changing Lives” polices to Parliament during his State of the Nation address.
Each of the witnesses stood up after the president acknowledged their presence in the House. While the Majority cheered , the Minority jeered as some accused the president of dabbling in populism.
Some of the witnesses included beneficiaries of the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty ( LEAP) and some pregnant women who delivered safely in some new hospitals constructed by the current government .
Others include children who have gained admission at the University of Allied Sciences in the Volta Region.
