The Director of Productions at Charterhouse, Nii Ayittey Hammond, says the migration from analogue television to a digital one, will have a positive impact in the Country’s entertainment industry.
According to him, the expenses of most television stations will be reduced, which will enable them to have more funding to produce good contents.
The migration from analogue to digital television is to enable viewers’ access more channel using the same frequency.
Speaking on The Arts In View show with Daavi Esi, Nii Ayittey Hamond, however indicated that, if there is no clear content law that is passed, it will have a negative effect on the Industry.
“There could be job losses in the sense that, for Television station for example currently analogue stations that are running which has employed people at their various transmission sites, almost all those people are likely to lose their jobs because you will not be needing those transmission sites again since everyone will have to go through one gate way” he added.
