The Member of Parliament for Tema East, Nii Kwatei Titus Glover, has described President Mahama’s Accounting To The People Tour, in The Volta Region, as an abuse of incumbency.
According to him, The President, is not accounting to the people, as he claims to be doing, during his Regional tours.
The President has spent three working days, in The Region, to inaugurate a number of Government Projects and commissioned new ones, as part of his “Changing Lives and Transforming Ghana” Agenda. But The NPP, MP, in an interview with XYZ News, said, President John Dramani Mahama, is scared of losing political power to his Party led by Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, in the up-coming Presidential Election.
He also expressed disappointment, at the economic figures mentioned, by The President, during his radio interview while, in The Region.
But in a sharp rebuttal, The Volta Regional Communications Officer, of the ruling NDC, Kafui Agbleze, disagreed with him. According to him, the people in The Volta Region, are extremely happy with The President, because he has fulfilled much of what he promised to do for them.
