Nana Addo’s speech on security deferred to May

The Ferdinand Ayim Memorial Foundation has announced the rescheduling of this year’s Ferdinand Ayim Memorial Lectures which was to have taken place today, Wednesday, April 13.

The lecture will now take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 and will still have the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, as the main speaker, a statement signed by a member of the board of trustees O.B Amoah said.

Akufo-Addo was scheduled to deliver an address on “Security, Liberty and Prosperity”. The lecture was to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the death of Ferdinand O. Ayim.

Mr. Ayim, was a founding member of the NPP. He worked as a journalist and was at some point the special assistant to late National Chairman of the NPP, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey when he was at the Information and Presidential Affairs and Tourism ministries.

Mr. Ayim also worked at the Ministry of Media Relations in the early days of the Kufuor administration.
