The National Co-ordinator of The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Brigadier General, Francis Vib Sanziri, has disclosed that, The Organization, is in a financial crisis, and it will be hard for it to respond to any national disaster, should it befall Ghana today.
This is due to the suppliers’ refusal to help them again, because NADMO owes them Millions of Ghana Cedis.
According to him, these financial challenges could be put to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning’s inability to release budgetary allocation, to The Organization, in the year ending 31st December, 2014.
Brigadier General, Vib Sanziri, made this known, when he appeared before The Public Accounts’ Committee, PAC, ofParliament to explain issues captured in the 2011/12/ and 13, Auditor-General’s report.
