Chairman of the National Peace Council, Most Reverend Professor Emmanuel Asante, says, the political polarisation of the country, is impeding the effectiveness of the Council’s mandate.
Speaking to Apostle Louis Godson, on Relationship and Marriage 101, he noted that, persons who speak on National issues, are tagged to be members of a particular Political Party, depending on which Party the person’s comments affect.
He added that, the mandate of the Peace Council, is to facilitate peace processes in the country. He said the Council, engages Civil Society Organisations, and experts in specific fields, in order to ensure that peace prevails in the country.
He further tasked Ghanaians to remain committed to peace before, during and after the November 7, General Elections.
