The National Theatre, has launched the third edition of its Theatre Festival, which seeks to showcase talents in The Arts Industry, in the Country.
Speaking to Alfred Danso, Marketing Manager For The National Theatre, he said “The Theatre Festival gives an opportunity to amateurs, performing and professional groups, to showcase the best we have, in terms of theatre production.”
According to him, this program is one they organize yearly to bring all performing artistes in The Industry to show the talents they have. “We are trying to put all the performing arts together and present them within a period on an annual basis” he said.
The program will give the opportunity to people in The Performing Arts Industry, that are not able to showcase their works, due to financial constraints’ to do so, since the National Theatre bears the cost.
“There are groups that have worked so hard, they have performances they are unable to showcase, because they don’t have the funds to support their performances.
When it gets to this point, The National theatre takes care of everything,” Alfred told Radio XYZ Entertainment Desk.
The Festival will see performances from Drama and Dance Groups as well as stand-up comedians, to thrill people patronizing the program. The program, has been slated to take place from September 27 to October 4, 2016 with the theme, “Creativity, Expanding Our Horizon”.
