Supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress in Akwatia in the Eastern region will today go to the polls to elect their parliamentary candidate for the November elections.
The primary in the constituency was called off last year over security concerns.
The contest is between incumbent MP Baba Jamal and a businessman Basil Ahiable.
The ruling party elected its Presidential and parliamentary candidates in November 2015.
Reports however say enthusiasm is low among voters as many polling centers are yet to register queues.
