NDC Back With ‘Setting The Records Straight’

Ghana’s Transport Minister, Fifi Kwetey, has served notice the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold the first in the series of “Setting the Records Straight” on Thursday, September 22, 2016.

The programme was scheduled to be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, but was moved to Thursday to make way for the launch of the party’s 2016 Manifesto last Saturday.

Speaking about the event, Mr. Kwetey said the forum will among other things, establish the superiority of the policies and leadership of the Mahama- led NDC vis a vis the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“We [NDC] will show that when it comes to critical requirements of competence, credibility and commitment to Ghana’s development, our party towers above all. The New Patriotic Party [NPP] has been peddling a lot of untruths and we will systematically expose these starting from this Thursday. We have no iota of doubt that when we are through, Ghanaians will be better informed on who to vote for,” the Transport Minister asserted.

Besides the press conferences, the Forum for Setting the Records Straight, will also be addressing the general public in a number of town hall meetings.

The programme will be aired live on some selected media houses in Ghana.
