The Paramount Chief of Guan-Akyode Traditional Area, Nana Obonbo Sewura Lupuwura II, has called on Ghanaians especially the youth, to maintain peace before, during and after the November 7th General Election.
He made this pronouncement during his Inaugural Ceremony and swearing in as a Member of The Volta Regional House of Chiefs. Nana Obonbo Sewura Lupuwura, was grateful to Members of the House especially, Nana Mpra Musumuna of the Krachi Traditional Council, for all to ensure the success of the inauguration, and also to the Akyode Chiefs and Elders for their contributions, and pledged to work tirelessly to promote development, among the people of Akyode and Nkwanta at large.
The President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Torgbe Afede XIV, who welcomed Nana Obonbo into the House, reminded the Paramount Chief of Akyode, that his membership into the August House is not for himself, but a platform for service to promote peace and development. “Every right position provides the occupant a platform, a platform to serve, a platform to make a difference. Members of this House are united.” He indicated.
Torgbe Afede XIV also seized the opportunity to counsel his members to be non-partisan, and prepare to meet politicians to ensure peace in this year’s election.
