Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has been handed a debut Black Stars call up after his breakthrough season with the Spanish side.
The former national U-20 player has been used mostly as a bit part but important player by Diego Simeone especially he is has sought to close out games.
Partey is one of three debutant call ups into the side for a 2017 Nations Cup qualifier against Mauritius. The others are Khazastan based striker Patrick Twumasi and Ashanti Gold defender Mohammed Kadri.
There is also a return to Black Stars duty for goalkeeper Fatau Dauda.
Ghana would need a draw in the game against Mauritius on June 4th to book an eighth straight Nations Cup appearance.
