PPP Chastises The EC Of Selective Justice, When It Comes To The Application Of Electoral Laws, Ahead Of December 7

The Policy Advisor, to The PPP, Kofi Asamoah Siaw, has accused the Electoral Commission, of selectively disqualifying The PPP and other political parties in the 2016 Presidential Race.

Addressing Journalists, at The Party’s Headquarters at Asylum Down, PPP also rejected the allegation of perjury levelled against it by The Commission. According to The Policy Advisor to the Party, Kofi Asamoah Siaw, The Commission will plunge the Nation into chaos and anarchy, if it is not checked immediately.

“This Practice has the possibility of plunging the Nation into chaos, and we must all work to prevent that from happening.”

He also accused the Commission, of passing some of the Presidential Candidates, who never declared their assets, in line with the rules, governing the process.

“In this particular instance, there is evidence, before The Commission that some of The Candidates, had not declared their assets, and yet, they went ahead to swear oaths before, a Judge, Notary Public or Commissioner Of Oath thats, they have done so.”

Addressing a cross-section of Media Practitioners, in Accra, the angry PPP Members described the EC’s decision to disqualify them and other Parties, as blatant discrimination and selective justice.

According to him, nothing and not even, The EC, will stop The PPP from contesting The Up-Coming Election.  The Party has written to The Auditor-General and Economic and Organized Crime Office, (EOCO), to investigate, what, Kofi Asamoah Siaw, referred to, as a fraudulent act committed by The Electoral Body.
