PRESEC Old Students Provide Place Of Convenience

Students of the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC) Legon, Accra, have been relieved of the sanitation challenges that had confronted them for many years.

The facility, which has a waste water treatment plant called croma flow attached, will serve as chamber in pulling solid waste to recycle water for watering grass and could also be used for agricultural purposes.

At a ceremony to hand over the facility in Accra on Saturday, the Assistant Headmistress in charge of Administration, Ms Dora Dankwah Darko, said for some years now, the day students (numbering more than 1000) were not allowed to use the boarding facilities because of theft cases and indicated that the facility was aimed at easing the challenges faced by students.

Cost involved

Even though the actual amount spent on the facility was not disclosed, the group’s president, Prof. Felix Ankomah Asante, said the chamber costs over US$5,000.00.

He, therefore, advised the students to keep the facility clean and urged the Parents and Teacher Association (PTA) to continue to assist the management of the school.

A Board Member of the foundation, Ms Marsha D Bornt, expressed her gratitude to the group for working with them in constructing the project and urged the students to keep it clean.
