President John Mahama, has lauded the efforts of The Ga Traditional Council, at maintaining peace and unity, in The Ga Traditional Area, despite the misunderstandings, that rocked the Ga State sometime ago.
The NDC’s Presidential Candidate, who did not mince words, appealed to the Council Members, to ensure that, the prevailing peace is maintained regardless.
The President earlier today, paid a courtesy call on The Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Adama Latse II, at his Palace, in Accra, to seek permission to commence his Political campaign in The Region, in line with traditions and customs.
Even before, President Mahama And Leader of The NDC, arrived at The Ga Mantse’s Grounds, Palace hundreds of Party supporters and sympathizers had besieged the Palace, with drumming and dancing, in anticipation of their flag- bearer’s arrival.
Lo and behold, the President arrived amidst, the popular music, “Mahama paper”. The mood was infectious, in and around the Palace, as Executives Of The Party, led by The Regional Chairman, and Addy Coker stood up in admiration.
The NDC’s Presidential Candidate thanked The Traditional Rulers and sought their permission, to carry out his campaign in The Region.
He used the opportunity to deny Manifesto plagiarism allegations against him, and his Campaign Team. He challenged The NPP, to produce any written document today, if they have any, to substantiate the allegation.
He revealed that, the on-going, Kwame Nkrumah Inter-change will be completed and opened to traffic by November, this year.
On behalf of The Chiefs and queens of the Land, The Otublohum Mantse and Acting President of Ga Traditional Council, Nii Dodoo Nsaki II, was grateful, to The President for the numerous projects undertaken in the Region.
However,he appealed to him to do more if given the chance again. The team later went to Abossey Okai,, Agbogbloshie and other parts of the City.
The President is expected to end the day with two separate rallies, at Adabraka and Osu by mid-night.
