A Dunkwa Magistrate Court presided over by His Worship Festus Fovi Nukunu has sentenced a 21-year old Zelieo Sumano alias Shatta to 10-Months imprisonment in hard labour for stealing.
According to the prosecutor, the convict was arrested by residents of Abankesieso(a Suburb of Dunkwa) when he entered the room of a resident in the area around 1:00am on 14th August 2016 and attempted carrying away handbag containing sums of money, Mobile phones and other documents.
In the course, the occupant of the room who was asleep wake up and saw the accused carrying the handbag away.
She raised an alarm which attracted residents to the scene, the convict was given a hot chased and was arrested by a night security guard in the neighborhood.
He was handed over to police at Dunkwa for investigations. The handbag was found in the hood but the items were missing.
He admitted the offence and alleged that he committed the offence with one Alhassan, now at large. He was charged with Stealing, conspiracy and unlawful entry.
He pleaded guilty to the offence and was convicted accordingly on his own plea.
