At least two Senior High School students are confirmed dead after they were infected with Cerebrospinal Meningitis at Bawku in the Upper East Region.
Eleven others who have also been diagnosed with the disease and are responding to treatment at the hospital.
Reports say panic has gripped many boarding students in the municipality have been in and out of health centers to test if they have contracted the deadly disease.
Meanwhile health authorities are recommending thorough vaccination of residents including students as a preventive measure to stem the spread.
