The Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Haruna Iddrisu, says 100,000 individuals will be rolled onto the various modules of youth employment program by June this year.
The YEA was established under the Youth Employment Act 2015 (Act 887) to empower young people to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic and sustainable development of the nation.
Speaking to the media Mr. Iddrisu said government has submitted the Youth Employment Regulations 2016 to parliament in order to ensure transparency within the Agency.
“Let me assure you that our quest to recruit a 100,000 people on the youth employment module is on course. Government is satisfied with the progress that we have made.
“I believe that by the end of June, the Ghanaian people can measure and measure us well in terms of our commitment to recruiting 100,000 people under the module,” he said.
